Pitch a story
We welcome pitches that help readers see a specific connection between places, people, resources or ideas. Send proposals through the Contact page, with the reason the subject matters and the shape you would give it.
What we welcome
We are interested in clear explanations, comparisons, background pieces and thoughtful accounts of how a connection works. A strong proposal has a focused question, a distinct angle and enough scope to provide context without claiming to tell every side of a complex subject.
Make the pitch useful
Tell us the working title, central idea, intended reader and the main points you would cover. Note what makes the piece timely or enduring, what sources or examples could support it, and any relevant expertise or perspective you bring. Keep the pitch concise and do not send a finished article unless requested.
Editorial fit
Contributions should be original, carefully checked and written for general readers. We do not seek promotional copy or claims that cannot be supported. Sending a proposal does not guarantee publication; any scope, edits and terms would be discussed before work is commissioned.
Where to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial proposal option. Include a way for us to reply, and send only material you have permission to share.
